The Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera is an advanced point-and-shoot camera that takes professional quality pictures. It may be a little on the hefty side for a point-and-shoot camera, but it's a small price to pay for the multitude of features that will be paid with. The controls on this new model are ergonomically placed and it was not very difficult to figure out which button does what.
With a press of the power-on button, the camera was ready to use almostimmediately. This is a very useful feature if you have sudden and surprising images. The pictures on auto mode is taken pretty impressive, thanks to Canon's DIGIC 4 processor with iSAPS technology. The 20-times optical zoom works like a dream. It feels like a powerful telescope was installed on this camera.
The Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP digital camera features a 2.5-inch rotating LCD display, the photos can be at odd angles. It is a high-resolution screen that large preview of the images it produces. The screen does not fared very well in the blazing sun, but then again, I did not yet have a model that is a proof, sunlight-LCD display has come.
Images taken at ISO 400 or lower were pretty crisp with very little, if any noise. If you wish to participate images at higher ISOs, you need to do a little more fine tuning with the custom settings to reduce the noise level.
The flash, which is preinstalled on the> Canon PowerShot 10MP Digital Camera SX10IS is quite strong. It was in a position to an object from almost 20 yards Light. Other features that come with this model is the face self-timer, red-eye correction, auto contrast correction and video mode. There is also a mode dial that lets you quickly make the appropriate mode on a particular host. There is also a wide range of 'Special Scene', from which you select in the menu.
